Why farmers going to agitate against Modi govt. are being stopped on the way by Capt govt. – Aman Arora

Chandigarh, February 26: The co- President of Aam Aadmi Party and MLA from Sunam, Aman Arora on Sunday criticized the action of Punjab govt. against farmers going to protest against Modi govt. in Delhi. In a press statement, Aman said that why Capt. Govt. is stopping the farmers to raise their voice against centre Govt.

Arora said that the farmers are protesting for long time to pressurize govt. to implement Dr. Swaminathan Commission report and other demands promised by BJP before elections. He said that it is understandable that BJP led Haryana govt. is obstructing the agitating farmers as they want them to reach to Delhi and agitate against their own govt. at centre but why Capt. Amarinder is doing it is strange act.

Arora Said that the Punjab govt. in an authoritarian way has taken activist of Bhartiya Kissan Union (Sidhupur) into custody without any reason at Cheema Mandi as the farmers were marching peacefully towards Delhi. Arora also participated in the dharna long with other members of AAP. He ensured every possible help to the farmer unions from AAP side.

AAP leader said that the Capt. led Punjab govt. has betrayed the farmers of Punjab on the tune of centre led Modi govt. He said that people of state have been cheated twice earlier by BJP and then by Congress Party. He accused successive govts at centre and state of killing the farming sector in state and country and pushing farmers to take extreme steps. The people of Punjab will teach both the parties a lesson in upcoming general elections in 2019.

Aman Arora also condemned brutal cane charge on farmers by Haryana police and demanded that action must be taken against police officer responsible for the act. He also asked Punjab govt. to let the agitating farmers move towards Delhi so that they can agitate against centre govt. for their demands.
