While Elon Musk has vowed to change the world with electric cars and rockets, he apparently has to take care of his organisation’s bakery bills as well.
Recently, a California bakery, ‘The Giving Pies’ accused Tesla of making a substantial order that was later doubled before getting cancelled entirely. The cancellation caused problems for the bakery as they had already purchased raw materials for the order. The situation led to an intervention from the Tesla and SpaceX owner who promptly settled the outstanding bill of $2,000 (Rs 1.65 lakh) for the cancelled pies. The CEO reportedly did not have any idea about the order. He replied to a news link about the story on X (Formerly Twitter). “Just hearing about this. Will make things good with the bakery. People should always be able to count on Tesla trying its best,” he wrote.
