Mansa, March 29: Taking the wise and unprecedented decision on Satluj-Yamuna Link
(SYL), the Punjab government has saved 9 lacs of land becoming barren.
The Union Minister for Food Processing Mrs Harsimrat Kaur Badal said
this while conducting sangat darshan in different villages of Mansa
today. She said that in last nine years Punjab government has taken
care of each and every section of society and added that the
government has given unmatched facilities to the people of Punjab.
Answering a media query the Union Minister said that Punjab has taken
yet another imporant decision wherein farmers will be given interest
free loan for upto Rs 1 lacs. She said that in event of natural
disaster, the farmer tries to fulfill his needs by taking money on
interest from banks or money lenders and burdens himself. In order to
bring respite to the farmers, they are being given this interest free
loan. Responding to another media query she said that following the
efforts of Punjab Chief Minister Mr Parkash Singh Badal, the names of
people mentioned in blacklist who had to leave nation during
terrorism, are being removed from the list. This would enable such
people to return to their Mother Land.
During her visit to Mansa today, the Union Minister laid foundation
stone for widening the 7.35 kms long Bhai Desa to Ubha road via Burj
Rathi at acost of Rs 4.74 cr. She also laid foundation stone for
raising the plinth level of procurement centers in village Anoopgarh
and Aklia. She also laid foundation stone of project worth Rs 26.50
lacs that would enable drain of the sewage water.
She also distributed grant of around Rs 2 cr for works at village
Thuthiyanwali, Tamkot, Ralla, Anoopgarh, Aklia, Bhaini Bagha, Bhupal
Kalan, Bhupal Khurd, Makha Chahlan, Alisher Kalan and Alisher Khurd.
