Sukhbir Badal to lead high level delegation on a visit to China starting May 7

sukhbir-badal-3-3Chandigarh May 6 : In pursuance of his agenda to accelerate industrial growth in the state, Punjab Deputy Chief Minister Mr. Sukhbir Singh Badal will lead a high level delegation to Shanghai (China) from May 7 to give a fillip to investment drive.

During his four day visit to China the Deputy Chief Minister, accompanied by a delegation of top state officers, would visit an international cycle show-2016 on Sunday May 8 and attend a high level meeting with China Bicycle Association. As a part of his itinerary, Deputy Chief Minister is scheduled to have hectic parleys with business giants especially from the field of agriculture, manufacturing, textiles and infrastructure development to impress upon the top honchos of China to invest in the state.

Mr Badal will also hold a meeting with Vice Chairman Shanghai Municipal Agricultural Commissioner Feng Ziyong on May 9 and visit Suzhou Industrial Park the next day. Besides this, he will also participate in investment summit on May 11 being hosted in Shanghai.

Among others accompanying the delegation included Chief Parliamentary Secretary N. K. Sharma, Media advisor to Deputy CM Jangveer Singh, Principal Secretary to Deputy CM P.S. Aujla, DK Tewari CEO Punjab water supply and water board and Deputy CEO Punjab Invest, Special Principal Secretary to Deputy CM Rahul Tewari, Pankaj Munjal Chairman Hero Cycles and Bhavdeep Sardana Director Sukhjit Starch and Chemicals.
