Chandigarh, October 14 – Punjab Deputy chief minister Sukhbir Singh Badal today announced a Rs 1 crore reward to any person giving information leading to the arrest of those who has desecrated the Guru Granth Sahib ji at Bargari village in Faridkot district.
In a statement here, the Deputy CM, who also holds the Home portfolio, said anyone having information about the heinous incident should contact Bathinda Range DIG Ranbir Singh Khattra (mobile – 94172- 13380 ). He said the identity of the informer would be kept confidential.
Mr Badal also assured Punjabis that he had given clear cut directions to the SIT led by ADGP Crime Iqbal Preet Sahota to go after the perpetrators of this ghastly act and arrest them at the earliest. He urged anyone having any information about the incident to contact DIG Khattra who was part of the SIT at the earliest.
