Hundreds of Indian students facing ‘deportation’ from Canada stage protest
CHANDIGARH, JUNE 1:
The State Election Commission Punjab postponed the bye elections of Gram Panchayats to fill vacant seats of Sarpanches and Panches.
Disclosing this Mr. Jagpal Singh Sandhu, State Election Commissioner, Punjab said that bye election of Gram Panchyats has been postponed in view of coming Budget Session in the month of June 2017. He said that the next date for holding the bye elections would be intimated in due course of time. The instructions in this regard have been issued to all the concerned departments.
