Patiala, Water Supply Scheme village Drolla, Block Sanour, Distt. Patiala of Assembly Constituency Samana inaugurated today i.e. 28.11.2014 by Hon’able S. Surjit Singh Rakhra, Cabinet Minister Water Supply & Sanitation and Higher Education & LanguagesPunjab.
The population of village Drolla is 1023. It has Costed Rs. 48.83 Lac to construct the Water Supply Scheme. This water supply scheme consists of 155 Mtr. Deep Tube-well, 50000 Ltr. Over Head Service Reservoir and 3500 Mtr. long water supply Pipeline. This scheme has been separated from Water Supply Scheme Bhanra.Water Supply Scheme Drolla has been constructed on Urban Patron. All individual household water connections have been provided with G.I. Pipe and Fruells attached with water meters. This will save wastage of water and will provide more pressure of water to the individual household.
The water supply scheme is to be run by GPWSC i.e. Gram Panchayat Water Supply & Sanitation Committee Village Drolla. Operation & Maintenance of this water supply scheme will be taken care by the Gram Panchayat Water Supply & Sanitation Committee (GPWSC). Hon’ble Minister desire that the scheme will be a model in whole of the Punjab as maximum individual water connections have been provided and GPWSC can supervise to run the scheme on 24×7 basis.
Hon’ble Minister also told that World Bank Project Phase-II, worth Rs. 2200 Crore is coming in next January, 2015. This project will provide 1000 sewerage schemes, 800 water supply schemes and 1000 performance improvement schemes.
On this Occasion Chief Engineer, Water Supply & Sanitation, Punjab, Sh. A.K. Soni, Superintending Engineer Sh. P.S. Bhatti, Executive Engineer Sh. Anil Bansal, Sub Divisional Engineer Sh. A.P. Garg, Assistant Engineer Sh. Vinod Kumar and other officials of the Department were also present.
