Drained shooters want rest after hectic selection trials
Sri Chamkaur Sahib/ Ropar: The ruling SAD BJP government has intentionally avoided the development of religious place Sri Chamkaur Sahib for the last nine years. The so called panthic party did not even bother to invest a single penny for the betterment of basic infrastructure of the constituency which has very important religious history. Addressing a dharna at Morinda Chamkaur Sahib road today, S Charnjit Singh Channi leader of opposition and MLA Sri Chamkaur Sahib said that the SAD BJP diverted all the development funds to the Malwa belt particularly in those constituencies from where the Chief Minister, deputy chief minister and the daughter in law of the chief minister fight elections. There has been a step motherly treatment with Sri Chamkaur Sahib just because it is being represented by a Congress legislature and that too from Dalit community. This clelarly proves the anti Dalit and the anti people mind set of the Badals. Channi blocked the traffic on the road for six hours alongwith hundreds of supporters and appealed to the people to out rightly reject the SAD BJP in the coming vidhan sabha elections.
Channi further said that the road network is in most pathetic state in the constituency, theme park started by Capt. Amarinder Singh Government was stopped by this SAD BJP government only after my intervention the work is started again by this government just two months back, there are no new government schools, no new hospitals. The Government schools, which are operational, are working without the teachers, for every five classes there is only single teacher.
Channi promised the people of the constituency that after coming to power in 2017 the development of the constituency will be done on war footing. There will be no stone left unturned and the basic infrastructure will be given uplift. Sri Chamkaur Sahib will be made a model constituency, which will have all the basic amenities and the required infrastructure.
