Chandigarh, September 27 : The Shiromani Akali Dal asked PPCC Chief Capt. Amarinder Singh to clear his stand to clear his stand that whether his party was ready to forge an electoral alliance with ‘Tonga Party’ ?

In a statement released from the party head office here today, the SAD Secretary and Spokesman Dr. Daljit Singh Cheema said that an unusual situation has developed and people of the state are totally confused over the different stands being taken by different opposition parties/groups of the state. It is ironical to note that on side Capt Amarinder Singh dubs the self styled Awaz E Punjab as a ‘Tonga Party’ and on the other hand the leaders of the so called ‘Tonga Party’ are talking of forging an unprincipled alliance with the same Congress party.

Dr. Cheema further said that it has become ample clear that the SAD-BJP combine is all set to form the government for the third time in the state as the opposition parties had nothing to raise against the government. The development works carried out during the last nine years have created a record of sorts.

The SAD leader also expressed surprise that on one hand the Awaz E Punjab leaders are declaring their front as non-political again and again while on the other hand they are trying to bargaining with different opposition parties for a political space to save their own seats.

He said that the people of the state are now clear that none of the opposition parties/groups have any positive policy or program for the people of the state and these facts will be revealed in the results of the coming assembly elections.
