SA vs IND: Jasprit Bumrah’s wife Sanjana Ganesan posts image of son Angad watching India pacer’s 5-wicket haul

Jasprit Bumrah’s wife Sanjana Ganesan has shared a heartwarming image of their son, Angad, watching the Indian pacer take a fantastic five-wicket haul against South Africa on day two of the second Test.

Bumrah picked up his ninth five-wicket haul of his career on Thursday, after claiming four wickets in the morning session of day two in Cape Town.

The Indian pacer had picked up the wicket of Tristan Stubbs in the final session of day one on Wendnesday. Bumrah would then breathe fire on Thursday as he picked up his second wicket in his very first over of the day in the form of David Bedingham.

Bumrah would follow this up with the wickets of Kyle Verreyenne and Marco Jansen, before dismissing Keshav Maharaj to complete his five-wicket haul. With this, the Indian pacer equalled the record of Javagal Srinath for most five-wicket hauls against South Africa with three to his name.

Bumrah would end the day with figures of six for 61 as South Africa were bundled out for 176. The Indian pacer has been praised for his effort by fans and pundits and his wife Sanjana has now shared a cute image of his son watching his father’s performance.

In a story on her official Instagram profile, Sanjana shared the image of young Angad looking at the TV and watching his father wreak havoc on the Proteas batting lineup.

Bumrah and Sanjana were blessed with Angad in September 2023

Bumrah and Sanjana welcomed their first child on September 4, 2023. Bumrah, who was with the Indian side in Sri Lanka for the Asia Cup 2023 campaign, had returned to welcome his son.

“Our little family has grown & our hearts are fuller than we could ever imagine! This morning we welcomed our little boy, Angad Jasprit Bumrah into the world. We are over the moon and can’t wait for everything this new chapter of our lives brings with it – Jasprit and Sanjana,” Bumrah wrote on Twitter.
