Respect Kamal Nath’s decision: Amarinder

Capt-amarinderCHANDIGARH, Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee president Capt Amarinder Singh today said that he respected the party general secretary Kamal Nath’s decision to opt out of Punjab.

In a statement issued here today, Capt Amarinder lashed out at the Akali Dal, the BJP and the Aam Aadmi Party for their vicious campaign against Kamal Nath, just because they had nothing else to say about their own achievements and had tried to find an easy target.

“We all know that the Akalis are the most hated party in Punjab and the AAP myth has already exploded in Delhi and people are already disillusioned with it and hence they tried to find a soft target in Kamal Nath”, he said, while adding, his decision to opt out will go well with the party and the people of the state, who know it very well to what extent these political parties can go to malign their opponents.

Challenging all these parties to prove their allegations against Kamal Nath, he said, they had no right or authority to pronounce someone guilty and malign his image for petty partisan and vested interests when he had already been exonerated by two commissions of inquiry probing the 1984 anti-Sikh riots as also when no complaint had been made against him till 2006 when it was made at HS Phoolka’s behest.
