Indian-origin woman stabbed to death at bus stop in London
Chandigarh, April 16: Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi today refused to comment on the Satluj Yamuna Link Canal issue saying the matter was sub-judice.
He was here to interact with party leaders and workers at the programme designed by his strategist Prashant Kishor in Zirakpur.
Talking to the media persons, he assured the people of Punjab that the Congress would eradicate the drug menace within months of forming the government in the state. He clarified that he was not against Punjab and as being projected on this issue and had only been holding the ruling Akali Dal for it.
He underscored that the Congress government to be formed in the state in 2017 would take care of the interests of the youth, farmers, industrialists and every other section of society.
He claimed that the Congress in the state was completely united.
