PUNJAB TO IMPART FREE COMPUTER EDUCATION TO 2200 SC STUDENTS- RANIKE

CHANDIGARH, SEPTEMBER 8: The Punjab government has invited applications from eligible below poverty line (B.P.L) Scheduled Castes (SC) candidates for three months Certificate Course (120 hours) free of cost at various Cal-C centres in the state.

Divulging the details, Welfare Minister Mr. Gulzar Singh Ranike said that total 2200 candidates from across the state would get free computer education at 44 Cal-C centres in all 22 districts. He said that in this era of information technology it would be imperative to make these students professional by imparting computer education.

On the admission process, a spokesperson for Welfare Department said that eligibility for certificate course is Matriculation. Eligible candidates can submit their applications till September 28 in respective Cal-C centres.

He said that certificate course would be imparted in Amritsar, Mudhul (Verka), Gurdaspur, Kahnuwan, Taran Tarn Jhabbal, Phillaur, Kartarpur, Rasulpur (Tanda). Chabbewal, Roopnagar, Nangal, Kapurthala, Phagwara, Khamano, Jhakhwali, Mohali, Balongi, Nabha, Daun Kala, Malerkotla, Dhuri, Barnala, Tapa Mandi, Bathinda, Bhagta Bhaika, Mansa, Budhlada, Ludhiana, Payal, Firozpur, Zira, Arniwala, Jalalabad, Faridkot, Kotakpura, Sri Muktsar Sahib, Bariwal, Moga, Nihal Singh Wala, Pathankot, Bamiaal, S.B.S. Nagar and Banga.
