CHANDIGARH, OCTOBER 09 : The Punjab Government has decided to install CCTV cameras and digital video recorders in the Pepsu Roadways Transport Corporation buses in order to safety of the women in the buses,
According to an official spokesman these CCTV cameras would also be installed at bus stands so that safety of the passengers could ensured. He further said that there is also a proposal to install cameras and digital video recorders in 100 buses, 18 depots and three bus stands of PUNBUS And Punjab Roadways Buses.
He said that CCTV cameras has already been installed in HAVC buses and CCTV cameras would also be installed ordinary buses soon.
The spokesman said that due to induction of new buses in the fleet of PRTC, passengers were giving preference to travel in these buses.
