Amitabh Bachchan collaborated with Akshay Kumar and Suriya for an advertisement for the Indian Street Premiere League (ISPL) ahead of its launch.
In a recent blog post, Big B also revealed he recently underwent hand surgery and that Akshay and him discussed the same between shots. The actor did not share much details about the surgery.
BIG B SHOOTS FOR AN AD WITH AKSHAY, SURIYA
On January 14, Amitabh Bachchan shared a picture on his Instagram handle that featured him with Akshay Kumar and Tamil superstar Suriya. For the caption, he wrote, “Cricket!! Anyone ? With Akshay and Suriya (sic).” Take a look at the post here:
Big B also recalled the shooting for the advertisement in his latest blog posts. It read, “The ISPL, as has been promoted and delivered in adverts, is well on its way to fructification and all the owners and the members that are involved need to be in immortalised picture frames. So yes, a photo cum meet shoot. A very quick in and out between the evening hours. With our friends and colleagues. Such a joy. Akshay, one of the owners, and an explanation to him about the surgery on my hand (sic).” He also shared additional pictures in his post.
For the unversed, Amitabh Bachchan was recently announced as the owner of an ISPL team. According to a report in PTI, ISPL is India’s first tennis ball T10 cricket tournament. The season will debut on March 2.
ON THE WORK FRONT
Work-wise, Amitabh Bachchan was last seen in ‘Ganapath’. He co-starred with Tiger Shroff and Kriti Sanon. He will soon be in Nag Ashwin’s ‘Kalki 2898: AD’. The sci-fi film will also feature Prabhas, Deepika Padukone and Kamal Haasan in significant roles.
Akshay Kumar will next be seen in ‘Bade Miyan Chote Miyan’ alongside Tiger Shroff in lead roles. The film is set to bring back the action and thrill to the new film. Helmed by the celebrated director Ali Abbas Zafar and backed by Pooja Entertainment and AAZ Films, the film promises to be the biggest blockbuster of 2024. It will release in theatres on April 10, 2024. He also has ‘Welcome to the Jungle’ which is slated for Christmas release.
Suriya, on the other hand, was last seen playing cameo roles in Kamal Haasan’s ‘Vikram’ and Madhavan’s ‘Rocketry: The Nambi Effect’ in 2022. He did not have a release in 2023. The actor has been busy shooting for ‘Kanguva’, which will release in 10 languages on a grand scale.
