Arthur Irving, one of Canada’s richest people, dies at 93
Chandigarh, April 24: The Punjab Rural Development and Panchayat Minister Mr. Tript Rajinder Singh Bajwa today congratulated Punjab Panchayati Raj Institutions for bagging 10 National Awards on National Panchayati Raj Day celebrated at Luckhnow. Congratulating the winners, Mr. Tript Bajwa said that 6 Panchayats, one Garam Sabha, two Block Samities and one Zila Parishid have brought laurels to the state by winning National Level prestigious Awards for good performance.
The Minister said that Punjab Government will give full support and honour to all those institutions which were performing well for the welfare of the people and development of the state.
It may be added here that Panchayati Raj institutions from the all over the country were awarded with Natioanal Awards in the presence of Union Minister Mr. narinder Singh Tomar, Union State Minister Mr. Purshotam Rupala, UP Chief Minister Yogi Aditya Nath and UP Panchayat Minister Mr. Keshav Parshad at a national level function held at Lukhnow.
Representatives of the 10 Panchayti Raj Institutions led by SIRD Head & Professor Dr. Rozi Vaid received these awards. Panchayti Raj Institutions which won the Natioanl Awards include 6 Panchayats- Gurusar Mehraj Block Phull District Bathinda, Nagal Garhian Block Majri district SAS, Nagar, Kot Khurd Block Ghal Kalan district Ferozpur, Doburji Block Doraha district Ludhiana, Cahk Janisar block Jalabad district Fazilka and Toot Sher Singh block Shahkot district Jalandhar. Other Panchayati Raj Institutions got awards include Two Block Samities Roopnagar and Bhagta Bhai ka district Bathinda, Gram Sabha Tamkot district Mansa and Zila parishid Bathinda.
