Chandigarh: Aam Aadmi Party leader and Sangrur MP, Bhagwant Mann criticized Sukhbir Badal for wasting the hard earned money of public on his foreign tours to discuss the unreal plans which can never be materialized. Criticizing Sukhbir, Mann said that plans of Sukhbir are far away from the reality and he is totally ignorant about the difficulties being faced by the people of Punjab. Mann said that if one has the desire to do something good for the people he doesn’t need to go to abroad to learn that but ask the people directly.
“In the past as well Sukhbir had planned to start some unreal and unnecessary projects like starting water buses and making roads that lasts for decades but the reality is known to every Punjabi. Few years back as well he went to China with the army of his officers to learn how to use wheat straw to produce electricity but the fact is that a mill owner near Khamano was already producing electricity out of wheat straw. Moreover even Google or YouTube can teach you this technique then what is the need of this showoff. ” Quipped Mann. “The actual thing is that none of the Akali leaders including Sukhbir can go to countries like Canada and America as the Punjabi community residing there doesn’t even want to see the Akalis so Sukhbir satisfies himself by going to Korea, China and Japan.” Mann added.
Mann suggested Sukhbir to go to the people directly if he wants to know the problems of common people. “Have you ever gone to the place of any peasant who committed suicide due to debt? Have you ever met any mother whose son has died of smack overdose? Do you have any idea of the miseries being faced by the unemployed youth who are beaten everyday by your police for demanding employment? Mann asked Sukhbir.
Mann accused Sukhbir of ruing the industry of state for his personal gains. Commenting on the night patrolling to check the working of police Mann said that the recent trends in the favor of AAP have disturbed him and he is suffering from insomnia now. “Why did not you check the Police station in last 9 years? Where were you when gangsters were terrifying people?” Mann asked. “You can’t be an Aam Aadmi by roaming on the roads but you have to prove it by standing by the common people in every thick and thin.” Mann added.
