Meiyang Chang praises Ulajh co-star Janhvi Kapoor, says there is a misconception about star kids

Meiyang Chang, who will be returning to the big screen with Janhvi Kapoor’s next film Ulajh, opened up about his experience working with the actress.

In a recent interview, he praised Kapoor for her hard work and said that there is a ‘misconception’ about star kids not putting in their efforts while working.

Meiyan Chang opens up about the misconception regarding star kids

Speaking to Instant Bollywood, the singer-actor said that there is a misconception that star kids don’t work hard, but Janhvi is not like that. As most of his scenes were with Janhvi, he saw her dedication to work. He added, “She does what she says. When she says, ‘I am going to get into the project fully and work hard,’ she actually does that. That was very nice to see. I felt motivated just looking at her.”

Sharing the update about the project, he said that currently it’s in the post-production stage and he is looking forward to its release. “We have completed the shooting of Ulajh. It’s in post-production. The film will be released next year. I am really looking forward to that,” the actor concluded.


What do we know about Janhvi Kapoor’s character in Ulajh?

The actress will be playing the role of a young IFS officer who gets embroiled in a personal conspiracy at a career-defining post. Speaking about the film, Janhvi earlier said, “When I was approached with the script of Ulajh it instantly attracted me because as an actor, I am constantly looking for scripts that make me break out of my comfort zone and portraying a character based in the celebrated world of the Indian Foreign Services was just that.”

Apart from Janhvi and Chang, the film also stars Rajesh Tailang, Gulshan Devaiah, Jitendra Joshi and Sachin Khedekar, among others. The film is slated to release next year.
