Manoj Tiwary will lead the India A team against West Indies in the two limited overs warm-up ties to be played in Mumbai ahead of the five-match ODI series, which begings in Kochi on October 8. Tiwary had earlier led India A in the two first-class matches against Australia A, Down Under couple of months back.
He will be leading India A for the first time in List A matches.
The team comprises mainly of players, who represented India A in their victorious campaign in the quadrangular one day meet in Australia, earlier last month.
The likes of Sanju Samson, Amit Mishra, Stuart Binny, Kedar Jadhav, Parveez Rasool, Karn Sharma, Dhawal Kulkarni are all there in the team. A new addition is Punjab batsman Gurkeerat Singh Mann. Murali Vijay gets another shot at redemption as far as his ODI career is concerned. Despite indifferent form for the better part of the last season, talented Delhi batsman Unmukt Chand has managed to hold onto his India A position. The first of the two warm-up games will be played at Brabourne Stadium while the second one will be held at the Wankhede Stadium.
