Make Narendra Modi’s degree public, Kejriwal asks Delhi University

kejriwalmodiNew Delhi: A day after the Aam Aadmi Party claimed that Delhi University has refused to share information on Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s graduation degree, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has written a letter to Vice Chancellor, asking them to make the records public and ‘settle the controversy’.

In the letter, written in Hindi, Kejriwal says, “It is said that Mr Modi has not studied inDelhi University.”

In the letter, which was posted on Twitter by Kejriwal on Thursday, he questioned, “IfModi didn’t obtain a BA degree, how could he get a post-graduation degree.”

On Wednesday, Kejriwal had said that Delhi University was refusing to show records of Narendra Modi’s degree as he never graduated from it.

Three Aam Aadmi Party leaders had on Wednesday met Delhi University Registrar to seek proof of Modi’s graduation degree and claimed that the varsity asked them to approach the PMO for the information.

The AAP leaders’ visit to the university came a week after the Central Information Commission directed DU and Gujarat University to provide the information to Kejriwal, who had recently criticised the functioning of the transparency panel.

Gujarat University had on Sunday said Modi had an MA degree and had scored 62.3 per cent as an external student of the varsity.

AAP has been attacking the Prime Minister over the issue ever since Kejriwal wrote a letter to Information Commissioner Sridhar Acharyulu demanding that the CIC order on disclosure of educational qualifications of Modi.
