Gurdaspur, October 10: The Punjab Congress President Mr Partap Singh Bajwa today slammed the Chief Minister Mr Parkash Singh Badal for total collapse in law and order resulting in the state turning into jungle raj as evident from the killing of a 6-year old child Krishna over ransom.

“With patronage of the Akali Dal leaders to the antisocial elements and the police being subservient to the political bosses, Punjab has turned into Wild West with no fear of the law. It is the Chief Minister who is directly responsible for the deteriorating situation in the state. Nobody is safe here”, he added.

He demanded immediate suspension of the Station House Officer concerned and high level probe into the entire tragedy.

Mr Bajwa recalled that a young boy was set on fire in broad day light earlier in Malerkotla but the police failed to nab the culprits. It was under pressure from the people that the case was handed over to the CBI.

He said police had become a tool into the hands of political bosses and hence the force was not accountable to anybody.

Pawan Kumar Pamma Ex-MC Executive Member PPCC, Kuldeep Singh Kahlon Executive Member PPCC, Majit Singh Hanspal Vice Chairman OBC Department, Ramesh Verma Vice President DCC Gurdaspur, Hukam Singh Bajwa Senior Congress Leader, Pawan Sharma Ex Councillor and other congress leader from batala also demanded a fair enquiry into this incident.
