KHAITAN IS SHAITAN- Ducked court on plea of illness but attended tv studios

Bikram-majithia* Majithia reiterates challenge on day-to-day hearing

Chandigarh August 1 – Punjab Revenue Minister S. Bikram Singh Majithia today accused Arvind Kejrival’s Aam Admi Party (AAP) of trying to take not only the people of Punjab but even courts for a ride in their desperate attempt to gain power through hypocrisy and brazen lies.

Mr Majithia cited the example of one of the senior most leaders of the AAP, Ashish Khaitan’s ‘outrageous lie’ before the court in Amritsar, in which he had declared that he could not attend the court as he had been advised bed rest for three days, that is July 29 to 31. The court exempted him from personal appearance that day on medical grounds, believing that Mr Khaitan might be confined to bed.

But this statement before the court turned out to be a BIG LIE AND A massive fraud when the same Mr Khaitan appeared on television channels yesterday to argue his party’s case on the issue of poor management of sewerage and drainage by AAP government in Delhi following rains.

“By ducking the court appearance on a false plea and preferring to go to television studio during the cited period, Mr Khaitan committed a grave contempt of court. It is obvious from Mr Khaitan’s conduct that his party does not hesitate from trying to mislead even the judiciary and thus, acted like a Shaitan .

Such is their respect for law. Such is their personal conduct and such is the level of their honesty and integrity. Such also is the manner in which they treat the sacred and established institutions in the country. Can the people of Punjab trust these AAP leaders who are not afraid to tell BLATANT LIES BEFORE SACRED INSTITUTIONS VIZ COURTS. How much truthfulness can be expected in the public utterances of liars in courts,” asked Mr Majithia.

Mr. Majithia described Ashish Khaitan’s misleading statement before the honourable court as ‘a most serious ACT AND CONTEMPT OF COURT “Khaitan is not an ordinary AAP volunteer. Kejriwal has made him Vice Chairman of the

Delhi Dialogue Commission and gave him all the facilities enjoyed by Cabinet Minister. He is the brain and principal mouthpiece to tke party’s ideology and principles to the people. Is lying like this even before courts the ideology and principles of AAP? If one of the highest ranking leaders of AAP acts like a Shaitan, one can easily judge what kind of dialogue can Punjabis expect from this party,” said Mr Majtihia.

Mr Khaitan incidentally is the same AAP leader who had committed the gravest sacrilege of declaring Sri Guru Granth Sahib and the AAP manifesto as equal in their eyes.

“These people committed sacrilege against our holiest scripture Sri Guru Granth Sahib . Then they tried unsuccessfully to take Sikh devotees for a ride by misusing the sacred image of Sri Harmandar Sahib and printing a picture of jhaadu alongside on their manifesto cover.

This was most disrespectful. Now they have tried to take even the court for a ride. No wonder they have been trying to take Punjabis for a ride on every issue. Their whole politics rides on attempts to take others for a ride, “ said Mr Majithia.

“However, their acts of sacrilege against the holiest Sikh scripture and Sikh shrine backfired miserably, forcing them to admit their crime. Their attempt to take the court for a ride is bound to fail too, and their grand design to take the people of Punjab for a ride will meet the same fate,” added the minister.

The Revenue Minister said that this was a fit case where suo motto
cognizance of Mr Khaitan’s lies seen in his act of attending TV
debates during the supposed “bed rest” period could also be taken by the Hon’ble Court. The minister said that the whole country saw Mr Khaitan appearing on television debates. “I request the honourable court not to allow Khaitan to lower
the dignity of the judiciary through such outrageous attempts to
mislead the Hon’ble Court

Mr Majithia also reiterated his challenge to Arvind Kejriwal and other AAP leaders to agree to a day-to-day hearing on the defamation suit.In facct, considering their bravado, they should be the ones to ask for an early hearing. “ I offer you this opportunity to achieve within weeks what you want to achieve after six months. If

you have the courage and the facts, accept my challenge. Your volunteers before whom you have been boasting about me must be wondering why you are running away through delaying tactics. Come, be man enough to accept my challenge. Its either you or me who will stay in politics.” said Mr Majithia.
