Kejriwal writes to Modi over SIT on 1984 Riots

New Delhi: The Chief Minister of Delhi, Sh. Arvind Kejriwal, has written a letter to the Prime Minister Sh. Narendra Modi on the SIT formed by the Central Government to probe 1984 Riots. In his letter to the PM, the CM has raised the issue of non-functioning of the SIT formed by the Central Government on Feb 12, 2015, two days before the Aam Aadmi Party formed the government in Delhi. He has written that the SIT is nothing more than an eye wash. He has further written that the SIT was supposed to submit it’s report in 6-months time, but nothing has moved even after nearly one and a half years.
He has urged the PM to ask the SIT to do something or to wind it up and allow Delhi Government to form an SIT for investigation into the 1984 Riots and get justice for the victims.
