Kabaddi player shot dead in Jaitu

Four unidentified persons have reportedly shot a kabbadi player in Jaitu town of the district. The victim, Amandeep Singh (22), succumbed to his injuries at Guru Gobind Singh Medical College and Hospital.
Jaitu DSP Jagdish Bishnoi said investigations were on. Sources said rivalry between two gangs led to the murder of Amandeep Singh. The victim was a supporter of an Akali leader in Jaitu. Some time ago, when the Akali leader was in the dock for reportedly engineering a murderous attack on an RTI activist in Jaitu, Amandeep was one of the accused.
