Chandigarh/Jalandhar Sep 22: Jagmeet Singh Brar condoled the death of senior RSS functionary Brig (Retd) Jagdish Gagneja in Ludhiana earlier today.
Describing Gagneja as an outstanding human being with high moral values he said “Gagneja Ji was a good friend to me and we often spoke of the need to revive Punjabiat and the original values of Punjabi society, after a distinguished career in the armed forces he had dedicated himself to social causes and was a true patriot, his absence will be felt in Punjab in the times to come and this loss is irreparable”
Brar also lashed out at the Badal government and said “There is a total collapse of law & order, criminals move freely while law abiding citizens live in fear of gang wars and shootouts – these shameless Badals don’t care they have 1000+ police for their security and still ask for more security”
In a sharp attack on the government he drew comparisons with previous incidents of high profile shootings and said “This government is solely responsible for every case from the desecration of Sri Guru Granth Saheb & Quran Sharif and murder of Mata Chand Kaur Ji to the attack on Sant Dhandrianwale and now while Gagneja Ji fought for his life in a hospital his killers still roam free because in all these cases they have clear political patronage and protection of the Badal Government who use these elements to stir up trouble to deflect real issues”
He said this reign of fear and crime perpetrated by the Badal led government will soon come to an end in 2017 and that all these cases will be fully investigated and not only the shooters but their masters and planners too will face justice when the new government takes charge.
