Jagmeet Brar accuses Capt Amarinder of betrayal with the party

jagmeet-singh-brarChandigarh, January 27:  Senior Punjab Congress leader and former MP Jagmeet Singh Brar today accused state party chief Capt Amarinder Singh of betraying the people and the party within no time of the announcement about the boycott of the Khadoor Sahib Assembly bye-election.

As Capt Amarinder Singh made the formal announcement at a meet-the-press programme at the Chandigarh Press Club, Brar, who had been reinstated only some months back, came out with a number of tweets opposing this decision. The bye-election has been necessitated with the resignation by Ramanjit Singh Sikki  of the Congress in protest against series of incidents of sacrilege of Guru Granth Sahib. Today was the last date of filing of nomination papers.

His one tweet is interesting whereby he stated, “Last night, I received a mail for approval of Congress candidate by congress president. In the morning Amarinder runs away. Big loss to party”.

Yet in another tweet, he said :We have digged our own grave. Nobody to blame. “Yeh public hai sab jantee hai”. I have another secret to tell after the withdrawal of NS.

“Humongous fraud, betrayal, Amarinder backstabs again”, he went on.

“Amarinder singh big fraud with high command, party and people to withdraw from contest. Akali endorsement on desecration of G.Granth sahib. My heart bleeds to write, we surrendered before Badal and Akali’s. We have given up. I and the Congress worker fought for 35 years. Feel bad”.
