Chandigarh, August 4: Mrs. Harsimrat Kaur Badal, Union Food Processing Minister today termed the Delhi High Court’s verdict that upheld Lieutenant Governor’s administrative powers in governing Delhi, a “historic judgment. She said that now it has been proved beyond any doubt that Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal lacks political wisdom and knowledge of democratic set of the country. With this one decision of the Delhi High Court the propaganda of Kejriwal that Union Government was interfering with the work of Delhi Government and it does not allow the Delhi Chief Minister to discharge his constitutional duties stand exposed.
In a press communiqué released here today Union Food Processing Minister said that Arvind Kejriwal’s formula of divisive politics is dangerous for the federal set up on the nation. She said that the Delhi High Court has held that Lieutenant Governor of Delhi would remain the administrative head of the National Capital Territory and the contention of Aam Aadmi Party that LG is bound to act on advice of Council of Ministers like in other states in India is without any substance and cannot be accepted. She said that nation has seen that Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has waged an unconstitutional war against the Lieutenant Governor of Delhi and squandered the taxpayers’ money on unnecessary litigation to fulfill his ‘Political ambitions’. Mrs. Badal advised the Kejriwal to first read the Constitution of India before nurturing political ambitions. She also advised Delhi CM not to indulge in political jugglery just to hit the headlines and must stop befooling the citizen of the country.
Mrs. Badal reiterated that Shiromani Akali Dal has been saying since long that AAP is a pack of criminals and this assertion can be corroborated from the fact that AAP’s 11 MLA were lodged under some or the other criminal case even Arvind Kejriwal was facing 9 serious charges. She said that Kejriwal had deceived the people of Delhi and now he is befooling the people of Punjab
