Canada Uber Driver Tells Passenger He Would Have ‘Kidnapped Her If It Was Pakistan’
Chandigarh, September 23:-Asking Punjab Congress president Partap Singh Bajwa to withdraw his petition seeking CBI probe into drug smuggling in the state, the Punjab and Haryana High Court took a strong view saying judiciary could not be used to settle political scores by the politicians.
The high court, while snubbing Bajwa, asserted it did not need the help of the politicians to decide as to who should conduct the probe and when.
The court asked the politicians to perform their duties in the legislature or raise the issues on other fora rather than trying to interfere in judicial functioning. Moreover, the drug menace was not the concern of any particular political party but of everybody.
