Harsimrat to attend Mehbooba’s swearing in ceremony

Chandigarh, April 3 – Union minister for food processing industry Harsimrat Kaur Badal will attend the swearing in ceremony of Ms Mehbooba Mufti as chief minister of Jammu and Kashmir tomorrow.

According to an official spokesman Ms Mufti invited Mrs Badal personally to request her to grace this occasion.

The Union minister said it was a source of pride for women of the country that a young and dynamic woman political leader was taking up the crucial assignment of leading her State. “This is another victory for women in India”, she said adding she was confident that Ms Mufti would take Jammu and Kashmir to further heights of progress and prosperity.
