Gangwar in Faridkot: Gangster Deva shot dead

Faridkot, A 45-year-old gangster facing several criminal cases was shot dead by two unidentified motorcyclists here today.
Davinder Singh, alias Deva, who was involved in many inter-gang rivalries and fights in the area, was killed when he was returning home after supplying drinking water to some shops in Faridkot town. Deva used to run a Reverse Osmosis (RO) treated water supply unit in the town.
Besides several criminal cases, including murder and attempt to murder, Deva was also a complainant in many criminal cases against his rivals.
A few days ago he was acquitted by the court in the murder case of a member of a rival group in Faridkot.
Amarjit Singh Sandhu, Superintendent of Police (SP) Faridkot, said the police registered a murder case against two unidentified youths. The police were trying to identify the accused with the help of footage of CCTV cameras installed in some shops situated near the crime site, said the SP.
Using the footage, the police have released the photos of the accused. These youths fired three bullets at Deva after waylaying a water supply canter, being driven by the victim at the time of incident.
