Gandhi backs dissidents, to attend meet

Dr-Dharamvir-GandhiJalandhar, October 3
Suspended Aam Aadmi Party MPs Dr Dharamvira Gandhi and Harjinder Singh Khalsa today supported a section of volunteers who will hold a gathering here on October 4 to deliberate on rising dissidence in the party.
The MPs blamed Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal for growing unrest among the party cadre.
Dr Gandhi, Patiala MP, said: “If party volunteers are looking to better things, it is our duty to support them. I will join the October 4 meeting. The dictatorial edicts being issued from the Delhi Durbar are not acceptable to us. The chief architect of the structural confusion in the state unit is Arvind Kejriwal and his coterie. If volunteers are hoping to bring a positive change in the party, I am with them.”
Khalsa, Fatehgarh MP, too said: “I will attend the meeting. Keeping in mind the aspirations of the people of Punjab, I am hoping against hope that the volunteers will succeed in reviving the state unit. Kejriwal is to be blamed for the present state of affairs.”
On Yogendra Yadav’s Swaraaj Abhiyan, Khalsa said: “I have been deceived once at the age of 67. I am not looking for anymore allegiances or parties. My only aim is to back my people and volunteers and serve those who voted for me.”
