“All rail and road routes towrads Delhi would be blocked on September 30,” BKU (Lakhowal) president Ajmer Singh Lakhowal said here after addressing a farmers’ convention.

Peaceful blockade would be held at Ludhiana, Phagwara, Mohali and Sangrur district, he said.

“It is unfortunate that the Narendra Modi government is following the previous Congress government’s policies even though both assured to implement the Swaminathan Commission report,” Lakhowal said.

The government failed to provide remunerative prices for farmers’ produce forcing them to adopt the path of agitation to achieve their goal, he said.
