Chandigarh, October 8: The Protesting farmers in Punjab today announced to extend the rail blockade by another two days till Saturday.

Disclosing this, farmers’ leader Sukhdev Singh Kokrikalan lashed out at the stubborn attitude of the Parkash Singh Badal government which, he alleged, was bent upon crushing their agitation by first maligning it.

Giving example, he said they had announced before starting the blockade that the Bathinda-Bikaner train that is known as the cancer train would be allowed free run. However, the government stopped it just to malign the farmers.

He joined issues with deputy Chief minister Sukhbir Singh Badal who had said the agitation was politically motivated.

Kokrikalan asserted they had nothing to do with politics but in case Sukhbir perceived be agitation for the rights of the farmers as political agitation, they were determined to carry on to the logical conclusion and would never cow down.
