Exposure to toxic air may lead to childhood cancers in kids: Study

New Delhi: The National Capital of India, New Delhi, has been rated as the world`s worst city for air pollution, as per the latest study by the World Health Organisation (WHO). This is certainly an alarming state.
In a stark revelation, the rising environmental pollution which contains toxic air is not just harming the lungs, but is also contributing to the cause of kids developing childhood cancers.

According to a report published in The Hindu, experts at Newcastle University have come to a conclusion that various environmental factors can lead to the cause of kids developing some kind of cancer or chances of acquiring respiratory infections like asthma, flu etc.

Doctors have been witnessing an increased number of cases of respiratory disease which they attribute to air pollution. There has been rising number of cases of respiratory diseases, especially in children in Delhi. Air pollution also leads to the possibility of organ malfunction in new born babies if expectant mothers are exposed to pollution for a prolonged time.
