EDUCATION DEPARTMENT TO HOLD LOK ADALAT Today (September 16) : DR. CHEEMA

Chandigarh, September 15: The Education Department, Punjab, would organize a lok adalat on 16th September to dispose off the matters related to the court cases concerning the department.

This was disclosed by the Education Minister, Punjab, Dr. Daljit singh Cheema in a meeting held here at the Punjab Civil Secretariat to review the various schemes of the department.

Dr. Cheema said that the lok adalat would be held at the office of Punjab School Education Board in Mohali and a team has been constituted under the supervision of the Principal Secretary to decide the pending court cases of the employees of the department.

During the course of the meeting, Dr. Cheema batted for the need to acquaint the teachers with the latest techniques and trends in educational sector and teaching methodology by providing them proper training. The Principal Secretary Mr. C. Roul informed the minister that a training module has been chalked out in this regard.

Dr. Cheema also issued directions to the officials to conduct checks in the schools at regular intervals so as to ensure discipline and maintain 100 percent attendance in the schools.

On this occasion, the Director General (School Education) Mr. Pradeep Aggarwal said that in a span of 2 months, the bio-metric attendance system would be made operational from the B.P.E.O. to the Headquarters.

In the meeting, Special Secretary of the department Gurdeep Singh, DPI (Secondary Education) Balbir Singh Dhol, DPI (Elementary Education) Harbans Singh Sidhu and Director Sukhdev Singh Kahlon were also present.
