DGP CONSTITUTES SIT TO INVESTIGATE BRIG. GAGNEJA ATTACK

Chandigarh/Jalandhar: As per the directions of Punjab Deputy Chief Minister Mr. Sukhbir Singh Badal, the DGP Mr. Suresh Arora has constituted a Special Investigation Team (SIT) under the leadership of Mr. IPS Sahota, ADGP-cum-Director, Bureau of Investigation to investigate the attack on senior RSS leader Brig. Jagdish Gagneja. According to an official spokesman of Punjab Police the other members of the team will be Mr. Arpit Shukla, Commissioner of Police , Jalandhar, Mr. Nilabh Kishore, IGP/CI and Mr. Amarjit Singh Bajwa, AIG/CI, Jalandhar. The SIT has been authorized to co-opt any other member, if need arises. Directions has been given to the SIT to inspect the scene of crime, conduct investigation by collecting evidence and trace the case in an expeditious manner.
