Amritsar, October 10: Damdami Taksal chief baba Harnam Singh Khalsa has hailed the decision of the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee to withdraw honour conferred on veteran journalist Kuldip nayar for denigrating Sant Jarnail Singh Bhindranwale.
The SGPC took this decision at its executive committee meeting at fatehgarh Sahib today. He was honoured by the SGPC in 2006.
It may be mentioned that Nayar has consistently attacked Sant Bhindranwale as the Congress creation.
In his latest article, he had compared Sant Bhindranwale with rapist Dera Sacha Sauda chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim who was recently jailed for 20 year.
Baba Harnam Singh, who also heads the Sant Samaj, challenged Nayar to submit even a single evidence in respect of his allegations against Sant Bhindranwale.
He also demanded ban on ‘Beyond the Lines’ penned by Nayar.
