Ropar: The congress party will lay more stress on the women empowerment in the election manifesto of the party for the coming Vidhan Sabha elections. The political parties should also emphasize more on the women empowerment in the state. Today the women folk in the villages are really in a bad shape and we should plan out some new innovation for them so that atleast they are self dependent. Distributing the sewing machines in Village BanMajra, in Ropar district S Charanjit Singh Channi, CLP leader said that the women should not only be made self dependent but they should earn livelihood for their children. The only purpose of distributing these machines is that the women stand on their own feet and do small earnings for themselves and their kids.
Channi futher said that very soon he is organizing women sports match in Shri Chamkaur Sahib to promote the games amongst the women folk. The women across the Chamkaur Sahib constituency will be invited for the matches, which will be for Races and pulling the string. Channi also told that we have already organized two medical camps in the constituency and the again the third eye camp will also be organized very soon. The women folk who have some problems with eye are requested to attend the next camp, which will be organized soon, and the dates will be announced soon.
Channi was accompanied by Satwinder singh Cherian and Nirmal singh banmajra during the function.
