CM, DEPUTY CM, INFORMATION & PUBLIC RELATIONS MINISTER CONDOLE SAD DEMISE OF SENIOR PHOTOJOURNALIST RAVI KANOJIA

prakash-singh-badalLudhiana: Chief Minister Mr Parkash Singh Badal, Deputy CM Mr Sukhbir Singh Badal and Information & Public Relations Minister Mr Bikram Singh Majithia today condoled the sudden and sad demise of senior Photojournalist Mr Ravi Kanojia (34), who passed away in an unfortunate incident at Jhansi yesterday. Mr Kanojia was on an official assignment in Jhansi when this unfortunate incident took place.

Basically hailing from Noorwala Road area of Ludhiana, Mr Ravi Kanojia was currently working as Principal Staff Photographer with Indian Express newspaper and posted in New Delhi. He started his career with Indian Express from Ludhiana in the year 2002 and since then, covered several national and international events across the country. From the year 2002 to 2009, he worked in Ludhiana and from 2009 till date, was posted at New Delhi.

In their condolence message, CM Mr Parkash Singh Badal and Deputy CM Mr Sukhbir Singh Badal said that Mr Ravi Kanojia was a fearless photojournalist who was a well known face in journalistic circles of the country. They said that the Punjab government is standing rock solid with the deceased photojournalist’s family in this hour of grief.

Mr Bikram Singh Majithia said that Mr Ravi Kanojia would always be remembered as a young and fearless photojournalist, who had a charming personality and was a very down to earth person.

Mr Ravi Kanojia is survived by father, mother and three sisters. His cremation would take place at the cremation ground in Daresi area, here, at 10 am tomorrow, i.e. May 11, 2016(Wednesday).
