CM CALLS ON HIS HARYANA COUNTERPART

Chandigarh, September 16- Punjab Chief Minister Mr. Parkash Singh Badal today called on his Haryana counterpart Mr. Manohar Lal Khattar at his residence this morning.

Disclosing this here today a spokesperson of the Chief Minister’s Office described this meeting over breakfast as a courtesy call to respond Mr. Khattar’s personal invitation to Chief Minister. The spokesperson further said that the Haryana Chief Minister and his Cabinet colleagues gave a rousing welcome to Mr. Badal by offering him bouquets. On the occasion, the Chief Minister inspected a guard of Honour and took impressive salute from a contingent of Haryana Armed Police led by its Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Mr. Ajit Singh.

It may be recalled that the Haryana Chief Minister had invited Mr. Badal to visit him during the grand finale of World Cup Kabaddi held at latter’s native village Badal last year. During informal interaction over breakfast, the Haryana Chief Minister solicited fulsome support and cooperation from Punjab government to further intensify its efforts for the promotion of diversification of agriculture in Haryana.

Later, the Haryana Chief Minister honoured Mr. Badal with a shawl and memento as a token of love, affection and respect on behalf of people of Haryana.

The Chief Minister was accompanied by his Special Principal Secretary Mr. Gaggandip Singh Brar.

Prominent amongst other who were present on the occasion Speaker of Haryana assembly Mr. Kanwarpal Singh, Cabinet Ministers Mr. Anil Vij, Captain Abhimanyu, Mr. Om Parkash Dhankhar, Mrs. Kavita Jain and Rao Narbir Singh, state BJP President Mr. Subash Barala, MLA Sohna Mr.Tejpal Tanwar besides Principal Secretary to Haryana Chief Minister Mr. Sanjeev Kaushal and Director General of Police Mr. Yashpal Singal.
