Chandigarh: Akali Dal general secretary and Anandpur Sahib MP Prem Singh Chandumajra today demanded that the all-India medical entrance by the centre should also be conducted in Punjabi along with other Indian languages.
He raised this issue in the Lok Sabha during zero hour pointing out that Punjabi as an option to take this test had not been included while listing seven other languages.
He alleged Punjab and Punjabi used to be discriminated against by the earlier Congress governments but regretted that same attitude seemed to be continuing.
He called for including Punjabi as an option for this test.
