Chandigarh: Rural Urban Heritage Festival Fest at Parade Ground from March 1

Chandigarh, February 22, 2024: Ruh Fest (Rural Urban Heritage Festival) will introduce the city dwellers to the crafts, handicrafts, folk art, and folk singing of 7 countries and 20 states at the parade ground from March 1.

Giving information about the first-of-its-kind Ruh Fest, which is being organized to convey the diverse culture and heritage of India to the youth, the organizer Sunil Verma said that this type of event is being organized to familiarize the people of Chandigarh with the culture of the country and abroad.

A unique effort is being made, in which artists from 7 countries of Asia, including every corner of India, will introduce their art to the city dwellers through live demonstrations.Dubai, Bangladesh, Tunisia, Nepal, Thailand and Turkey, Afghanistan in 7 countries

The set designer team of films from Mumbai, who also made the set of Bajirao Mastani, will create a special Pahari Vasahat set-up stage and every evening after the performance of folk dances of different states, the entire evening will be dedicated to a famous singer.

Among them, the world famous Qawwali singers Niaji Brothers, Kabir singer Mukesh Chauhan, Bollywood singers Shikhar Kumar, Mamta Joshi, Sangeeta Sharma (Modern Theater) of Inshabha Group and national award winning singers will present their live performances.

Sunil Verma said that the admission of school children and the live workshop of Padma Shri Shilp Guru, Craftsman, under the live workshop every morning will be free, for which the helpline was released today. Also budding artist will be provided free platform .
