Chandigarh, October 5: The Punjab Congress President Mr Partap Singh Bajwa today ruled out support to Capt Amarinder Singh in any capacity. He said his statement regarding Capt Amarinder Singh that he made at a press conference during his tour to meet farmers in the cotton belt in the Fazilka area was totally distorted and presented out of its context.
“Capt Amarinder Singh has committed a grave indiscipline by attacking twice the partyVice-president Mr Rahul Gandhi. He must unconditionally and publicly apologise toMr Gandhi for this violation of discipline. Linked to his violation of party discipline is the speculation about his floating a new party. He must categorically rebut such speculations after offering apology”, he demanded.
Debunking the statement ascribed to him, Mr Bajwa said that as a loyal and disciplined soldier of the party, every leader and activist was duty bound to unquestioningly abide every decision of the high command as this was basic to the functioning of the oldestparty in the country whose sole objective is total commitment to the people. He made it clear he was no exception.
