BJP leader, 2 others booked for farmer’s death
Chandigarh, The Punjab Congress President, Mr Partap Singh Bajwa, today strongly condemned the cold blooded killing of two brothers by the Khanna police in Jamalpur village of Ludhiana district in a fake encounter.
In a statement, the PPCC chief said no bigger evidence was needed to prove that the law of jungle prevailed in Punjab and there was total breakdown of the chain of command. Those in power were dictating terms at every level in the state and no one was safe.
He said the contradictory versions put up by the police had exposed everything. He warned against politicisation of the police force saying the cost to be paid by the state in the long run would be too heavy as the system had been totally wrecked.
