Badal condoles passing away of veteran journalist Inder Malhotra

parkash-badal-1Chandigarh, Punjab Chief Minister Mr. Parkash Singh Badal today expressed profound grief and sorrow over the sad demise of distinguished journalist Mr. Inder Malhotra, who passed away after a prolonged illness in the national capital on Saturday.

In a condolence message, the Chief Minister described Mr. Malhotra as an iconic personality in the field of journalism, who ever performed his professional duties with utmost commitment, sincerity and dedication to uphold the ethos of freedom of Press. ‘Being a multi-faceted personality, veteran journalist Inder Malhotra was one of the finest journalists of his era, whose in depth knowledge coupled with dynamic and visionary approach in his prolific writings on different aspects of national issues always adored him at the centre-stage of healthy discussions’, recalled Mr. Badal.

Sharing his heartfelt sympathies with the members of bereaved family, Mr. Badal prayed to the Almighty to give enormous courage to bear this huge loss in this hour of grief and grant eternal peace to the departed soul.

Meanwhile, the Deputy Chief Minister Mr. Sukhbir Singh Badal and Information & Public Relations Minister Mr. Bikram Singh Majithia also deeply mourned the passing away of noted journalist Inder Malhotra.
