New Delhi: Test cricket has once again witnessed magic. David Warner’s 244* against the Kiwis on the first day of the second Test in Perth, saw him take the level of batting by another step higher.

David Warner completed 4000 Test runs in his career and the left-handed batsman has taken over the baton from former Aussie legend Matthew Hayden, to shoulder the responsibility of Test cricket opening.
Warner’s 244* that came in just 272 deliveries, highlighted a more positive and fast approach that modern day Test cricket has seen since the advent of T20s. Warner has taken the brutality up to another level in Tests and WACA looked like a paradise on Friday.
Once labelled as more of a T20 and ODI player, Warner with his 15th Test ton has shown he is a king in all three formats and plays the game in a same vein.
Warner has gone on to break many records on the way and on Saturday has the chance to get past Matthew Hayden’s highest Test score of 380 and the world record too of former West Indies legend Brian Lara (400). Warner’s adventure and style coule see him get to many milestones.
For now Warner deserves applause and a place amongst the top in Test cricket after bludgeoning Brendon McCullum’s side.
