Bhupinder Singh Mann Ex MP, National President BKU reacted sharply on the statement of Shri Amit Shah President BJP claiming that the farmers are being paid 43% higher than the cost of production. S. Mann dared Amit Shah to make public his calculation of cost of production of agriculture crops. S. Mann said that such statements are a cheap joke on farmers who are in complete distress and are forced to take loan for sustenance. When the farmers are unable to repay the loan, they are forced to commit suicides.

Mann asked Amit Shah that if you are giving 43% profit on cost of production, why are the farmers committing suicides?

Mann reminded Narendra Modi that he had claimed to double the income of farmers while beating his 56 inches chest during Independence day Speech from Lal Qila. No step or roadmap has been laid down by the BJP Government in this regard. In the last three years in office, PM Modi has completely failed the agriculture community by going back on its poll promises. To add salt on the wounds of farmers Amit Shah has given a statement making a mockery of the farmers.

Mann challenged Amit Shah for open debate on cost of production. For that Amit Shah should make public his calculation of cost of production.

Mann, who is also chairman of All India Kisan Coordination Committee (KCC) informed that we have launched a nationwide kisan movement to force Narendra Modi to fulfil his poll promise of assuring 50% above cost of production.

Mann said that he was amused to see Government sponsored hashtag #farmersfirst on twitter. He said that by just creating hastags and trending on twitter will not help the poor farmers of the nation
