Election Commission appoints 15 expenditure observers in Punjab
Chandigarh, January 25: The President of Punjab Youth Congress, Amarpreet Singh Lally has mocked the ironical situation wherein the Bharatiya Janata Party’s minister for local Bodies, Medical Education and Research in Punjab, Anil Joshi has failed to recognise the difference between Republic Day and Independence Day whereby calling Jan 26 as independence day repeatedly. Lally stated that in an interview with local news channels in Amritsar, Anil Joshi is being seen talking about the sacrifices laid by freedom fighters whereas he should be talking the implementation of constitution of india which is the reason that we celebrate Republic day.
While condemning the ignorant attitude of the minister, Lally said, “It is sad that on the one side the ruling party’s minister does not even know the relevance of the nation’s historical days and on the other side he keeps on making tall claims of the upliftment of the state. He should have no right to hoist the national flag tomorrow. I will present a book on general knowledge to the minister so that he does not commit this blunder again”.
