Amarinder asks Kolianwali better file defamation case today

Capt-amrinderCHANDIGARH: Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee president Capt Amarinder Singh today asked Daya Singh Kolianwali not to wait for 10 days and file the criminal defamation case against him tomorrow only.

“Why wait for 10 days, file it now”, he told the Akali leader, adding, “let me tell you filing a defamation suit against me is certainly not going to change your destiny of landing in jail and meeting the same fate as that of Ravi Sidhu”.

The PCC president said that it was a common knowledge across the state as also within the Akali circles that Kolianwali was the conduit for taking bribes from people. He said, every Punjabi has faced the brunt of corruption and people like Kolianwali were the pivots in this system who need to be subjected to due process of law and punished severely.

“I am sure once people like him are made to face the music they will reveal everything “, Capt Amarinder observed, adding, it is not only Kolianwali but also those, for whom he has been taking bribes, have got unnerved as they fear getting exposed.

The PCC president said, the fight against corruption will be launched on June 18 from Badal village, which is the epicentre of corruption in Punjab with henchmen like Kolianwali acting as conduits.
