AAP leaders file defamation cases against Sehrawat, Kingra and Paviter Singh

CHANDIGARH 11th September : Taking serious note of the allegations by some of the rebel party leaders to defame the party as well as its leaders, In-charge of AAP’s affairs of Punjab, Sanjay Singh and National Organisational Building Secretary Durgesh Pathak today filed criminal defamation cases against Delhi AAP MLA Col Devender Sehrawat and former party leaders HS Kingra and Pavitar Singh in the court of Chief Judicial Magistrate (CJM), Chandigarh.

While Sanjay Singh and Durgesh Pathak filed a joint case of criminal defamation against Delhi AAP leader Devender Sehrawat who levelled allegations to defame women of Punjab.

Against former AAP leader HS Kingra, both Sanjay Singh and Durgesh Pathak filed separate cases of criminal defamation, as the former had levelled separate ‘false’ defamatory allegations against both the leaders by holding a press conference in Chandigarh recently.

Against rebel AAP leader Pavitar Singh, who levelled allegations against AAP leaders for demanding money in lieu of party ticket, Sanjay Singh and Durgesh Pathak filed a joint case of criminal defamation in the court.

In a joint statement today AAP leaders Sanjay Singh and Durgesh Pathak, all these leaders levelled ‘hollow, baseless’ allegations against them and even failed to present any valid substantiated evidences against them, they have filed the cases of criminal defamation against them.

On the allegations levelled by Devender Sehrawat, AAP leaders said that Sehrawat tried to defame women of Punjab by making false allegations and he even failed to provide any substantiated evidences in support of his allegations.

It is pertinent to mention her that earlier, Women Wing of the AAP in Punjab filed complaints against Sehrawat in Punjab Women Commission and SC Commission as well.
